Please be aware that we cannot assume responsibility for user-generated content or interactions within the community.

Sorrow Place is designed for user-based interaction. When you use the Sorrow Place App, you may voluntarily provide certain personal information, such as your name, email address, profile picture, and interests. This information is used to create your user profile and enhance your experience within the community.

2.2 SPDI (Sensitive Personal Data or Information)

We recognize that Sensitive Personal Data or Information, may or may not be shared within the community through user-initiated interactions. While we provide a secure and private environment, we advise caution when sharing SPDI within the community.

2.3 Categories of SPDI can include
  • Health and Medical Information (Medical History, Health Conditions and Diagnoses)
  • Sexual Orientation and Sexual Life (Sexual Orientation, Sexual Preferences or Activities)
  • Ethnic or Racial Information (Ethnicity, Race, National Origin)
  • Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) and Passwords (Access Code, Security Question Answers, Biometric Data for Authentication)
  • Financial and Payment Information (Credit or Debit Card Details, Bank Account Details, Financial Transactions and History)
  • Location Data (GPS Coordinates, Location History, Home Addresses or workplace)
  • Personal Contacts (Contact Names, Phone Numbers, Email Address)

Sorrow Place does not facilitate direct connections or content sharing but encourages user-driven discussions and support.

2.4 Age Restriction Clause

Sorrow Place is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to use the app or send any personal information about yourself to us.

2.5 Use of Your Information

Your personal information is primarily used to create and personalize your Sorrow Place profile. It helps to connect you with like-minded individuals who share your interests or experiences. Additionally, your information may be used to send you updates, notifications, and relevant content.

2.6 Anonymity Option

Sorrow Place offers the option to connect anonymously within the Global Chat Option only. But in case of anonymity only your public identity remains concealed. However, it is important to note that the platform retains the right to access your anonymous identity and disclose if required for legal proceedings.

Collection of Automatic Information, Use of Cookies, and Tracking Technologies

At Sorrow Place, we, along with our third-party service providers, including advertising networks, utilize cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to gather insights about your interactions with our platform. 4.3 Blocking Abusive Users

In addition to reporting offensive content, users can block abusive or harassing users from interacting with them on Sorrow Place. This feature is designed to empower users to control their online experience and protect themselves from unwanted interactions.

4.4 Published Contact Information

We provide published contact information to ensure that users can easily reach out to us with any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding their experience on Sorrow Place. Our contact information is readily available on our website.

4.5 Incidental Mature Content

If Sorrow Place includes user-generated content from a web-based service that may contain incidental mature or "Not Safe for Work" (NSFW) content, such content is removed by the app.

5. Security and Protection of Your Information

At Sorrow Place, we are committed to ensuring the security and safeguarding of your personal information. Your password serves as the key to your Sorrow Place account. 6.2 Shared Devices

It's important to note that Sorrow Place is not responsible for any unauthorized access to your information, lost or stolen passwords, or any actions taken on your account through unauthorized password activity.

Information that you post publicly on Sorrow Place is accessible to other Sorrow Place users. This includes comments posted by users if you are a member of the community within the Sorrow Place App.

In certain sections of Sorrow Place, you may have the option to join sub-communities, where your username will be visible to all users within that specific sub-community.

You can choose to continue anonymously when you are joining groups for participating in Global Chat only, subject to your own discretion.

7.5 Information Disclosure to Law Enforcement or Government Officials

We may disclose your information, including your name, location, user history, and other relevant data, to law enforcement or government officials as required by Applicable laws, regulations, or government authorities. This may include cooperation with investigations.

8. Legal Disclaimers

8.1 Counselor Behavior and Platform Responsibility

Sorrow Place, through its counselor app, is solely facilitating the connection between users and counselors. In the event of any issues or problems arising from a counselor's behavior or actions, Sorrow Place is not responsible or liable. We are merely the platform providers, and the counselors are independent professionals who are responsible for their own conduct and the services they provide to users.

8.2 Measure Your Stress:

The "Measure Your Stress" tool is not intended to provide medical advice. It serves solely as an assessment of your stress levels and is not designed to suggest or diagnose any health conditions. For any concerns regarding your mental health, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified professional counselor, psychologist, or advisor.

8.3 Take a Minute Break:

The exercises provided in the "Take a Minute Break" section are general in nature. If you do not feel comfortable performing any of these exercises, please discontinue use immediately and consider consulting a professional trainer or health expert for guidance.

8.4. Appointment Cancellation

In the event of an appointment cancellation initiated by the user, a platform fee will be deducted from the total amount before any remaining fees are disbursed back to your bank account. Please be aware of this policy when considering the cancellation of your appointment.

9. Change of Ownership or Bankruptcy

In the event of a significant change in ownership or control of Sorrow Place, such as a merger or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the succeeding entity. In cases of bankruptcy, reorganization, receivership, or assignments for the benefit of creditors, or due to legal principles affecting creditors' rights, we will remain responsible for your information until the date until we exercise the control. However, we may not have control over how your information is used or treated once control has been transferred to another entity.
